About

I came to painting later in life. I started out tole painting when I was in my mid 30’s. I got tired of sanding (sneeze, cough) and I had a friend who encouraged me to take the plunge and study painting at Wichita State University. Thus began my adventures in making art! I studied painting from Jill Eggers, Mary Morgan, and Ron Christ at Wichita State University.  I have studied locally with Mary Binford Miller, Jim Gross, Matthew Hilyard, and Brian Hinkle at the Wichita Center for the Arts (now Mark Arts). I have also attended workshops by Phil Starke, Jim Clements, and Carol Marine. I will be attending a workshop taught by Daniel Keys in the near future.

I currently live in the Wichita, KS area and teach painting at Mark Arts in Wichita, Kansas. Along with painting, I enjoy photography, graphic arts, playing the piano, and listening to Michael Buble.
